Top Tips for Happy Bathtimes

Has your bathroom become a battleground? Do you find yourself dreading bath times? Does your child scream and shout when faced with a bath? Do your kids refuse to behave? Do you end up with water and bubbles everywhere? Fear not - help is at hand with our top three tips for fun baths!

1) Relax about bath times. If you are stressed and anxious, your kids will pick up on this. Try to approach baths with a relaxed attitude – does it really matter if you end up with bubbles in your hair and a wet jumper? Instead of getting wound up, allow yourself to see the funny side. Laughter is infectious, so before you know it, your children will be laughing along with you!

2) Try to make bath time a happy time for your children. Reluctant bathers can be easily distracted with exciting stories, funny jokes or interesting toys. With something far more enjoyable to them to focus on, you should be able to wash your children and shampoo his or her hair with the minimum of fuss. Have a look at the exciting and educational range of different toys suitable for the bath at Fun Bath Toys. After all, if your child is relaxed and happy, you are more likely to be too!

3) Remember to use child-friendly products in the bath. Don’t use heavily scented products which could aggravate sensitive skin and avoid any shampoos that will sting little ones’ eyes. There is a huge range of organic and natural bath products designed just for babies and children – have a look next time you go shopping.

Exciting toys, lovely products, bubbles and cuddles could all contribute to a happy child at bath times – and therefore a happy parent too!
